The first was simply that it was unassigned in among a range of patents DOMINATED by large companies--in fact it was the only unassigned patent I looked at. But additionally look at the long list of cited prior art. A quick glance at some of it and you'll wonder what really is different---effectively---to the engine it's to be used on. The patent application doesn't give any clue and it makes some bald faced statements about improved gas mileage, etc. Do you believe them? I don't because there is absolutely no hint of information to back them up. This is not the first patent in the art with that problem either.
