Wrench for use with drilling apparatus

I'll bite. Why is this patent worth anything? Is absolutely anything at all necessary for a working wrench after the words "such that..." which begin to differentiate this device over the prior art? I don't think so. Simply, as current similar wrenches do, don't bother to make the lever's cam contact the item gripped "immediately adjacent" an arbitrary line imagined to be important by the inventor. The patent appears to be completely silent on why this line is important.

And what happens if some user just happens to use an existing wrench on a small size pipe or whatever and just happens to get it accidentally into configuration with the arbitrary line and "immediately adjacent" contact? Would this first claim hold up in court? Perhaps you could get some clues about it's limitations by examining the changes during prosecution. But suppose it didn't hold up. Would the dependent claims begin to fall like a house of cards? What do they add that is actually new?
