Two-piece patient examination garment

I admit that this patent first caught my attention due to the fact that the inventor lives in the same town I do only a couple miles away. I've not seen him at our local inventor club meetings in the 5 years I've been attending. Why is this patent worthless? Not because it isn't at least a good idea but because this patent is so narrow that anyone can make a similar garment that to all normal users will be considered EXACTLY the same even though it may have an opening panel or tuck somewhere that is different. If the inventor actually worked for a company already producing a range of these then the patent might have some value---but to an individual inventor, no.
